The Pushkin Institute has the most comprehensive and important Russian Library in Greece, with over 18.000 book titles.

These books were acquired by the Pushkin Institute from the concession of the personal library of the publisher and founder of the Institute Mr. Ioannis Giannikos, from purchases made by the Pushkin Institute from Russia and from the Greek-Russian House of Elders of the Russian Church in Athens, from the acquisition of the library of the Greek-Soviet Association and from a small number of books donated to the Institute by individuals, by the president of the Russian Duma in 2001 Mr. Genadii Selesnyov , by the mayor of Moscow Mr. Yuri Lyushkov in 1995 and by the educational Attaché of the Russian Embassy in Athens Mr. Oleg Zaitsev.

The students of the Institute can borrow the books of the Library.For anyone else interested, the library, upon prior consultationwith the Secretariat of the Institute, is available from 15:00 to 17:00.

The study of the books takes place in the specially designed area of the Institute.
